Controversial TikTok creator, Arifa, has issued a public apology to Oba Saheed Elegushi after previously making serious allegations linking the monarch to the death of late singer Mohbad and suggesting he fathered the singer’s child.

During the height of the public demand for justice for Mohbad, Arifa accused the Lagos royal of having an affair with Wunmi Aloba, the late singer’s wife, and implied that Oba Elegushi could be the biological father of Mohbad’s son, Liam Light. These claims quickly gained traction online.

In one of his now-viral videos, Arifa harshly criticized the monarch, saying:
“Why don’t you think about the day you will die? King, you will die one day. Are you unfortunate? Are you not even scared?”

In a recent twist, a trending video on social media shows Arifa visibly remorseful, lying prostrate and pleading with Oba Elegushi for forgiveness.

He said:
“Kabiesi, please forgive me, don’t judge me by my actions. I am sincerely sorry, and I apologise for every misunderstanding and unverified information. Whatever fight I fought in the dark, I am sincerely sorry.”

Though the Elegushi Kingdom had earlier denied the claims, Arifa and others had continued spreading the accusations. The public apology now marks a significant reversal in his stance.
