Three people were killed when gunmen stormed a Lagos residential estate.

Unknown gunmen killed three people after storming Gowon Estate in the Ipaja area of Lagos state.

SP While speaking about the incident, Benjamin Hundeyin, the state’s police command spokesperson, confirmed it. The incident occurred late at night, according to him.

According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Gowon Estate Police Division received a call from some residents of the estate’s Naval Block informing them about three people being shot and killed by unknown gunmen on 41 Road, Union Bank Block in the estate.

Addressing the issue, he said;

“While at the scene of the shooting, the police recovered nine expended cartridges and a bunch of keys.

“At Igando General Hospital, one unknown male corpse was recovered and evacuated to Mainland General Hospital, Yaba for preservation and autopsy.

“Further information given to the police revealed that two male corpses were taken away by their families.

”One male survivor, Doba Ngoze, is currently on admission at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba,” he said.
