In response to a video of Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma promising to assist 4,000 Imo State natives in finding employment possibilities in Europe and Canada by December 2023, singer Peter Okoye of the renowned group PSquare expressed his opinion.
Prior to the South Eastern State of Nigeria governorship election on November 11, Uzodinma made this promise at a campaign rally.
According to him
”I have gone further to negotiate with the European Union government and Canadian government. They are sending us special areas of skill which our youths will also learn and by December this year, 4000 Imo youths will be employed in Europe.’ Once the employment letter drops, the governor will pay for your air ticket.” he said as the crowd cheered him
Reacting via his Instastories, Peter Okoye described the comment by the governor as ”ridiculous.”
