The Special Task Force,in charge of security operation in Plateau state have disclosed that some people attempted to bomb a mosque in Jos on Friday night.
The STF in a statement signed by its Media Officer, Capt. Salisu Mustapha, on Saturday in Jos, said some unknown miscreants attempted to bomb the Mosque around 8.30pm
The statement further revealed that the Mosque which was to be attacked is located along the Bukuru expressway in Jos South LGA.
According to the statement, the attempt failed after the bombers threw a hand grenade into the mosque, but could not detonate.
Information gathered from a reliable source reports that the STF has cordoned off the area and all security threats have been partially brought under control.
