A portion of the state high court building fell in Justice Oyewole Adeyeye’s office on Wednesday, July 12. He narrowly avoided death.

The top judge has reportedly been sent to an unnamed facility in the state where he was reportedly receiving medical care, according to Daily Trust.

According to information obtained, the event took place when Adeyeye was getting ready to shut down for the day. When the structure supposedly fell, he was still inside his chamber.

The structural deficiency made worse by the excessive downpour was the incident’s likely cause.

Although no lives were lost in the tragedy, the state’s top judge was severely hurt when the office part fell on him.

After putting in much effort, workers around the building were successful in pulling the judge from the debris.

Journalists who went to the registrar’s office to learn more about the event were told to come back another time.

The state governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has only been in office for a little over a year, thus the development was unfortunate.

After Kayode Fayemi’s second term as governor of Ekiti State came to an end in October 2022, Oyebanji was sworn in as the next governor.
