Grammy-winning singer Tems made history on July 13, 2025, as the first African artist to perform at the FIFA Club World Cup final halftime show.
Taking the stage at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Tems wowed the audience with a stunning rendition of her hit single, “Love Me Jeje.”
The event was graced by several high-profile figures, including U.S. President Donald Trump.
In the final match, Chelsea triumphed over Paris Saint-Germain with a commanding 3–0 victory to clinch the tournament title.
Tems’ landmark performance comes on the heels of major achievements in her career, including her track “Wait For U” with Future and Drake, which made her the first African artist to debut at No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
She also broke another milestone by surpassing 1 billion streams on Spotify, reinforcing her status as a global music powerhouse.
