Unknown gunmen kidnapped Prof. Joseph Olusoga Olusanya, the deputy Vice Chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education, TASUED, Ijagun in Odogbolu local government area of Ogun state yesterday, a source in the school told Naijalog.

The source who those not want to be named said Olusanya was abducted between Odogbolu and Ososa along the Ijebu Ode-Ore-Benin expressway when he was coming from Abeokuta.

His abductors are yet to contact his family or employers.

Meanwhile, authorities of TASUED have neither confirmed nor denied his abduction

Mr Gbenga Olusanya, a son of  the DVC , who is the acting Bursar of Tai Solarin College of Education, TASCE, Omu-Ijebu, declined to comment, saying he can’t speak to anyone on the matter.

“I am sorry, I can’t speak to you, I can’t be divulging information to anybody,” Gbenga Olusanya said.

However, a police source disclosed that they have been briefed about the matter and they have since swung into action.

When our correspondent contacted the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof Oluwayemisi Obilade on the matter, she disclosed that her deputy safety matters to her now, pleading for his release from his abductors.

According to her, “I dont want to rush to the press now, all what I want is that they release in immediately,” she pleaded.
