Few weeks ago, we reported that there are speculation that the marriage between Super Eagles player, John Ogu and his wife Chiugo Veronica Akaolisa, has ended after they both unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Confirming the speculation, John Ogu’s ex-wife’s sister has called him out on Twitter after he took to the platform to celebrate his daughter on her birthday
John Ogu had tweeted;
“On this day last year ,I was in uyo serving my father land on your special day against South Africa . Today is your special day and I still can’t spend this day with you my Baby girl . Daddy is out here working hard to make you proud in Russia . Happy Birthday my love!
However reacting to the tweet his ex-wife’s sister @iam_meemee tweeted;
“But Daddy was in nigeria 2 weeks ago and didn’t see his daughter! Oh I forgot Daddy hasn’t seen his daughter since he kicked her and her mom out from Isreal LAST YEAR. You can do everything John but what you won’t do is pretend like you’re Ivanna’s life for the gram.”
The two got married traditionally on December 29th, 2015 at their home town in Anambra State. Before then they had their court wedding at Ikoyo registry, after the player had openly proposed to his then girlfriend on a football pitch shortly after a match.
John Ogu who plays his football for Israeli Premier League champions, Hapoel Be’er Sheva, once described his wife as ‘the woman of his dreams’. He said in an interview;
“I think it feels great,” the 28-year-old midfielder replied when he was asked about being married as a professional footballer.
“The more I grow, the more I understand that I have to be responsible and have a family,” he continued.
“Having a wife is something great for me because I think I met the girl of my dreams. Since I got married to her, it’s been blessing and favour everywhere
