The President of the Cross Rivers State University Udok Edok has been shot dead by suspected cultist.
He was shot at close range in the head while eating at a popular cafeteria on campus.
Reasons for his murder were not clear as of the time of going to press, but speculations were rife that he might have angered some cultists.
