Popular singer, Yemi Alade has received her first ever invitation to the 59th annual Grammy Awards ceremony which will hold in the United States in February 2017.
This happened moments after the singer was trolled by Nigerians over the kind of lyrics she writes. While some insist her music is ‘wack’, some praised her being herself in all that she does.
Recall that Yemi Alade was two-time MAMA Best Female award winner and the first ever African female singer to bag the MTV awards twice, consecutively.
Now that she will be live at the Grammys, her fans hope this is a good step in the right direction. Some also went as far as advising the singer on what songs to perform at the event.
