Controversial rapper Speed Darlington has been released from police custody following his arrest for allegedly slandering Burna Boy.
According to NAIJALOG, fans raised concerns when the rapper was absent online for three days. It was later revealed that he had been arrested after Burna Boy filed a petition against him for making defamatory remarks.
Human rights activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju took up the case and worked to secure Speed Darlington’s release from detention.
Recent reports confirm that the rapper has been granted bail, with viral media showing him in photos alongside Adeyanju and others who helped facilitate his release.
