The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has officially declared Nigerian entertainer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, wanted over serious allegations including rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.
The agency made the announcement via its verified Instagram page on Friday, urging anyone with useful information about his location to come forward.
This development follows Speed Darlington’s failure to comply with multiple summonses for questioning. The controversy began after a disturbing Instagram live session where he allegedly confessed to having sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl—an incident that occurred on Children’s Day and quickly drew public outrage.
NAPTIP had initially invited him to appear at its Abuja office on May 30, 2025, but he requested a postponement, saying: “I already have commitments… I suggest you reschedule for next month, June 26.” He missed both dates.
In a subsequent communication, the agency underscored the seriousness of the matter, calling it a national priority. Despite being given a final deadline of June 2, Okoye failed to appear.
With his continued noncompliance, NAPTIP has now declared him wanted and is appealing to the public to assist in locating him.
