Yhemolee, a prominent figure in social circles, has issued a plea for assistance amidst the continued devaluation of the naira, which has now reached N1500 against the dollar.
In a video posted on his Instagram profile, Yhemolee lamented the country’s deteriorating economic situation. He noted the resilience of Nigerians in enduring hardships with a smile but warned that there comes a point where suffering becomes unbearable, and smiles fade away.
Reflecting on the drastic changes, Yhemolee recalled a time when the exchange rate was N320 to a dollar. Expressing frustration, he questioned the leadership of the nation, suggesting that their inaction could lead to unrest.
He expressed concern about the potential escalation of the naira’s devaluation to N4000 per dollar and voiced his decision to return home to his mother, unable to endure the situation any longer.
Captioning his video, he wrote: “Somebody save us 😭😭 abi we no be Gayant of Africa again? The regime brutal oh 😭 Lagos to London = 11,500,000m , if you carry woman 23,000,000m.”
