Six people including the father of a popular Benue State politician, on Tuesday, December 2, escaped death after their vehicle went up in flame along Otukpo-Otukpa road, around 1:50pm. According to Idoma Voice, Chief Alhaji Eguma Abubakar Akor, father of Usman Abubakar alias Young Alhaji and five others were in a Toyota Highlander when the incident happened.
An eyewitness, Dan Edache said that Abubakar Akor and other occupants were on their way to Ogbadibo before the incident happened. “He was saved along with five others who were boarding with him. He lamented the absence of fire service men as all the fire extinguishers used could not put off the fire” the eyewitness said.
