SIFAX GROUP HONOURS LONG-SERVING STAFFS

Special Adviser to the group Executive Vice Chairman, Sifax Group, Barr. Ezekeil Ajewole; Executive Director, Administration and human resources, Dr Phil Ofulue; Director General, Djibouti Consulate, Folake Rojas and General Manager, Legal and claims, Olusunde Tunji at the long service award to staff of Sifax Group in Apapa yesterday.

Ezekeil Ajewole; Executive Director, Administration and human resources, Dr Phil Ofulue; Director General, Djibouti Consulate, Folake Rojas and General Manager, Legal and claims, Olusunde Tunji at the long service award to staff of Sifax Group in Apapa yesterday.

 

Sifax Group Nigeria Limited, a major player in Nigeria’s maritime industry on Thursday, at an elaborate ceremony , which held at  Rockview Hotel, Apapa  conferred Sifax Long Service Award on Mr Adesoji Ilesanmi Ayorinde, Miss Blessing Thompson, Mr. Obadare Abayomi, Mr Olaoluwa Ayodele, Mr. Isikalu Samuel Olawunmi and Mr Adesokan Rasaq.

All awardees had served between 10-15 years in the company   received certificates, cash and gifts of refrigerators.

At the event, the Senior Special Assistant to the Group Executive Vice Chairman, Dr Taiwo Afolabi who was represented by Barrister Ezekiel Ajewole said that the long service award was an opportunity for Sifax Group to celebrate commitment, excellence, painstaking, happiness and challenges, of the veteran.

“We need to be committed to this company, and for people that have been here for the past fifteen years, I think we need to congratulate them, it means that there is something good we have seen in them, I want us to emulate this kind of attitude, we need to love this company and be committed to it” Afolabi noted.

Afolabi said that, apart from seeking greener pastures and breaking new grounds for Sifax Group, he equally believes he has capable hands in his staff which he believes can be entrusted with the day-to-day administration of  the company.

“The company is still moving on and the GEVC is interested in our welfare, you have started well, you have continued well and you will end well”‎ he said.

Earlier in his speech, Executive Director Administration of the Group, Dr.Phil Ofulue, said that the ceremony is celebrating the outstanding contribution of the awardees to the Group who he said were deserving of the credit.

“I hope the rest of us will see this as a stimulus to serve the company better, I can tell you that since last year, new subsidiaries have been born while existing ones are doing fine” Ofulue stated.

He explained that the Group had paid compensation to the family of staff who died on duty, adding that the Group will be rewarding outstanding staff in all departments at end of each year.

Responding on behalf of the awardees, Mr. Obadare Abayomi and Miss Blessing Thom Afolabi, commended the awardees for their dedication to work, and also challenged other staff to put in their best for the overall growth of the Group
