Gunshots were reportedly fired outside the Chris Brown residence in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon, according to law enforcement sources.
Police were called to the singer’s home in Tarzana at about 4 p.m. after reports of a possible shooting in the neighbourhood.
Authorities said a female caller told officers that a man fired at her vehicle during an altercation. The suspect was described as a Black male, around 35 years old.
Dispatch audio indicated officers were sent to the location with details of the suspect’s appearance as events unfolded.
When police arrived, they spoke with both parties involved. According to officers, the male suspect claimed the argument started after the woman refused to leave the area.
The situation allegedly worsened when the woman drove her vehicle over the man’s foot, leading him to fire shots at her car.
The suspect was arrested at the scene and taken into custody on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism.
Officials said the gunfire happened on the street outside the property and not inside the residence itself.
It is still unclear whether Chris Brown was home at the time or if either person involved had any connection to him.
