Seyi Law has reacted to claims that he was prevented from meeting Seyi Makinde.

The comedian, who was present at the wedding of Sola Sobowale’s daughter, had earlier gone viral after a clip showed security operatives stopping him while he tried to approach the governor.

Addressing the situation, Seyi Law shared a longer video from the same event, showing a moment where he and the governor exchanged greetings.

He argued that the earlier viral clip was misleading and suggested it was circulated to push a narrative against him online.

The incident originally took place during the traditional wedding ceremony on May 2, 2026, where both men were among the guests.

By releasing the new footage, the comedian aimed to clarify the situation and respond to critics who had reacted to the initial video.

This same Gov. Seyi Makinde that spoke with me. I am not asking you to like me, but cutting a video to push an agenda is stupid sha. https://t.co/5XGJbtaJCO pic.twitter.com/lbzPX8lzsy
