A commercial sex worker made headlines after she took a coffin from a hardware shop as compensation for an unpaid US$5 debt.
The incident occurred at Ozei Hardware shop, where the woman confronted a young man identified as King Joshua.
According to reports, Joshua allegedly lured the sex worker to the shop, engaged in services, and then refused to pay the agreed amount of US$5.
In response, the woman seized a coffin worth US$60 from the store as compensation, creating a scene as she carried it out of the premises.
The shop’s owner, Ozei, was stunned by the situation and accused Joshua of frequently bringing women into the shop under false pretenses.
“I got a call from the police around 11 PM, asking who was at my hardware shop,” Ozei told H-Metro. “Joshua had been bringing sex workers into my shop without my knowledge. Now, I suspect one of the coffins I lost last year might have gone missing the same way.”
Reacting to the woman’s actions, he added, “That woman must be crazy to carry a coffin just over five dollars.”
