The state police commissioner, Mr. Ambrose Aisabor, made it known to the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor AbdulGaniyu Ambali in his office that the police command in Kwara State has arrested 12 students of some tertiary institutions in the state for alleged rape cases.
Aisabor lamented that most criminal activities were being committed by undergraduates and able-bodied youths and challenged universities in the country to join hands with the police in fighting crime, noting that security is a collective responsibility, he called on students, lecturers and traditional rulers, among others, to collaborate with the force in reducing the menace of insecurity.
