The police on Thursday arraigned in court a school teacher, identified as Miss Violet Emu for allegedly defiling a 4-year old female pupil.
It will be recalled that the victim who is a pupil of Light Bearers Private School at Iyana-Isashi area was reportedly defiled by the schoolmistress recently during school hours.
The victim said: “My Aunt in school raised my uniform up and put her fingers inside my bum-bum in the class, while others were sleeping. She asked me not to tell my mother or anybody.”
The victim was later taken to the Hospital where it was confirmed that her hymen has been broken while the case was reported at Iyana-Isashi Police Division.
After interrogating the schoolmistress, the Police Officer took the victim to Mirabel Centre in Ikeja where a medical examination at the centre also confirmed that the victim was actually defiled.
Miss Violet, who was arraigned before Magistrate Osunsanmi on one count of defilement, pleaded not guilty. Osunsanmi ordered that Violet should be remanded at the Kirikiri prison until her bail terms were perfected.
The matter was adjourned till September 8, 2016, for trial.
