Excessive belly fat is considered unsightly, both in men and in women. An over-sized waistline is not only unattractive, but also unhealthy. As always, everyone wants a quick fix solution for something that took years to accumulate. when will people learn? I also need a solution, but I’m not looking for a miracle; I know the right means, and I’m prepared to do what it takes to get there. The important question now is, are you willing to as well?
Our bodies have limited space to use as fat reservoirs; they include, the buttocks and the abdomen. In the abdomen, especially, the fat serves as a protective organ to the various organs and muscles present. For this reason, it is difficult to get rid of it; the body resists at first. However, it is not impossible. The ongoing debate about what exercise sheds belly fat quickly and effectively is one everyone is involved; in fact I have this conversation with someone almost everyday. Like I’ve said in previous posts, the most effective way to slim is to engage in cardio-respiratory exercise, also known an aerobics. Trying to focus on losing fat in just one area is futile, you have to exercise the whole body. If you do crunches and lunges and all that, without any aerobic exercise; sure your muscles will get definition, but they’ll be hidden by the fat. So rule no. 1, dedicate yourself to aerobics; swimming, running, cycling, HIIT, whatever your body can take to get rid of the belly.
Now, this is where all the crunching comes in. Nobody starts doing 250 V-ups in a day. Nike Training Club recommends that you combine 30 minutes of cardio, with 15 minutes of target exercises to get definition in any area you so wish. The plan also has programs which usually start out with a 5-minute warm-up, then moves to exercise each major muscle group of the body with high intensity and short rest periods (seconds -1 minute) This is what is known as Circuit Training.
The only thing left is eating healthy. Ditch the sodas, go for water instead (Even I need to follow this rule). Don’t skip your meals, eat regularly, but in moderation. Sleep well too and avoid stress; lack of sleep and stress can result in weight gain, so make sure you stay in a calm state of mind and body. Follow these rules and soon you will be saying adios to the muffin top.
