Nollywood star Sarah Martins is back in the headlines, but this time, for something positive.
Just days after being arrested in Lagos for cooking on a public road, the actress was seen in Canada carrying out a charitable act feeding homeless individuals.
A new video currently making rounds online shows Sarah on the streets of Ottawa, where she distributed more than 150 food packs to those in need.
Her kind gesture, coming right after the controversial Lagos incident, has stirred mixed reactions among social media users.
From Lagos road drama to charity in Canada
On her Instagram page, Sarah shared clips from the outreach, expressing how fulfilled she felt.
She explained that the meals were prepared in partnership with Suyaroyale and Ricci Products as part of her mission to spread kindness across borders.
Her caption read: “From going grocery shopping, to cooking with the CEO of suyaroyale under the supervision of ricci_products representatives, to sharing the sumptuous, well-spiced 150 packs of food with homeless people on the streets of Ottawa.”
Despite the criticism she received in Nigeria over her roadside cooking, Sarah appeared cheerful as she interacted politely with the people receiving food.
Fans react
Reactions poured in online, with some applauding her generosity, while others compared her Canadian experience to her Lagos fiasco.
One person commented, “They humiliated her for showing kindness at home, now she’s being celebrated abroad for the same act.”
Another teased, “Why she no cook for street for Canada like she did in Lagos?”
Even with the mixed opinions, many fans described the move as a sign of personal growth and a positive step forward.
