Details of the secret meeting between the Emir of Kano, Muhammed Sanus and President Goodluck Jonathan have begun to emerge.
Sources privy what was discussed at the meeting said it has been agreed that seized passport of the monarch will be returned and his withheld emoluments will be paid.
The Presidency is making this concessions, to have a “total reconciliation with the Emir”.
The State Security Service (SSS) had in February seized Sanusi’s passport, after he was suspended by Jonathan as CBN governor.
Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Federal High Court, Lagos in April asked the Federal Government, the police and the SSS to release Sanusi’s passport.
