Director of pirate radio, Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, was on Saturday, reportedly arrested by Nigeria secret police, the Department of State Services (DSS) as he flew into Nigeria from his base in the UK.
The Deputy Director of Radio Biafra, Uche Mefor, alongside other members of the group, in a marathon broadcast on the pirate radio, alleged that Kanu was arrested in Lagos by the security operatives
The group in a tweet on Sunday, via its Twitter handle, confirmed the arrest.
In a statement published on its website, the separatist movement also confirmed that their Director has been arrested in Lagos by the Nigerian authorities, noting that it (Nigeria) has through this arrest played into the grand strategy of Biafrans.

Nigeria made the mistake of equating Biafra to Nnamdi Kanu. Muhammadu Buhari may have been ill-advised that arresting and unlawfully detaining Nnamdi Kanu will quench the fire of Biafra raging across the world. How mistaken they are.
How can one stop such a raging wave that has ubiquitous structure across the world by arrest of a single man?
