PriceWAterHouse has been appointed has auditors to investigate the missing $20 billion at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.
This was disclosed by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, during a debate at the 24th edition of the World Economic Forum for Africa.
Okonjo-Iweala explained that foremost accounting firm, PriceWaterHouse, will carry out the exercise during a 16-week period.
Suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mallam Lamido Sanusi,had last year in a letter to the president revealed that $49bn was not remitted to the federation account by the NNPC.
However, after a reconciliation of account the unaccounted money was pegged at $20 billion.
