President Tinubu Urges Nigerian Diaspora Doctors to Return and Rebuild Healthcare Sector

President Bola Tinubu has appealed to Nigerian medical professionals living and practicing abroad to return home and actively support the ongoing transformation of the nation’s healthcare delivery system.

The President made this call during a meeting at the State House in Abuja with a delegation from the Nigerian Diaspora Medical Associations. The group was led by Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM).

A Call to Serve the Homeland

Expressing profound appreciation for the delegation’s willingness to give back to their home country, President Tinubu highlighted that their expertise is vital for the success of his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He emphasized that the foundation being established today will secure a healthier future for generations of Nigerians to come.

Tackling Poverty and Enhancing Infrastructure

The President reiterated his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment where professionals can thrive. He identified poverty and inadequate infrastructure as critical barriers to national advancement that must be aggressively dismantled.

During his address, the President committed to the following pillars of national development:
