A 21-year-old woman has died inside a soakaway pit two weeks before her wedding, PMNews reports.
The deceased identified as Akinjolie Idowu Wuraola was said to be four months pregnant when she fell into the soakaway pit at her residence at 2, Believer Street, Oluwo Opeilu, Ikija in Ogun state.
Wuraola, a native of Ile Oluji Ondo State, was said to have washed some of her clothes on Friday morning and was about to hang them on the rope when she stepped on top of the soakaway pit covered with mud slab and the slab gave way … she fell inside the soakaway pit.
The deceased was rushed to three hospitals before she eventually died.
Neighbours were seen discussing the tragedy at the deceased’s residence. A lady in her early 20s who identified herself as Miss Ronke told PMNews that the late Wuraola was an easy going person, adding that she will be greatly missed by her friends and neighbours.
“She was such a nice person. She did not like quarrel. Everyone who knew her will surely miss her”, said Ronke.
All attempts by PMNews to see her fiancé, 32-year-old Femi John, who hails from Kogi state proved abortive.
