According to a statement made available on Sunday, the five-day maintenance exercise is carried out yearly to ensure equipment availability as well as improved grid performance and stability.

The statement said that as a result of the development, there would be nationwide load-shedding during the period.

The company, however, appealed to all electricity customers to show understanding as the maintenance “is critical and must be carried out to ensure that the station continues to contribute maximally to the nation’s generation capacity.

“The TCN also apologises for the inconveniences the planned load-shedding will cause its customers nationwide during this period and assures that it will continue to work hard to ensure power supply stability in the country,” the statement added.
