Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has taken a dig at fellow artist Olamide amid reports that Asake has allegedly parted ways with YBNL.
In a viral video circulating on X (formerly Twitter), Portable reflected on the moment Olamide contributed a verse to his hit song Zazzu and expressed disappointment over the rapper’s decision to sign Asake instead of him, only for Asake to now leave Olamide.
Addressing the situation, Portable stated:
“Olamide, you brought Asake into the industry to overshadow me. You tried to push me aside, so I relocated to Sango. From there, I went on to tour the world. “Now, see how things have turned out—Asake no longer appreciates you, but I still do. I remain grateful for the verse you gave me on Zazzu. I started the trend of wearing oversized shoes and clothes, but you told Asake to copy my style.”
“You are the real copycat. Davido, I was the pioneer of crypto and bitcoin influencing, but you took it from me and still claim to be wealthy.”
Portable’s statements have sparked mixed reactions online, with many social media users sharing their opinions in the comment section.
“Olamide, You used Asake to tackle me in the industry. You wanted to use him to cancel me, that was why I ran to Sango. From Sango, I travelled round the world. Now see the person you lifted above me, he has dumped you. He didn’t even say Thank You. You took away my producer, my… pic.twitter.com/KO7ruvjqif
