A Kenyan police officer was reportedly admitted to a private hospital in Nyeri after his penis was chopped off by his lover. The incident apparently happened on Saturday night.
The officer, who is renowned for his authoritative voice and harassing of matatu operators, was injured following an argument with his lover.
The lady is said to have paid the officer a visit on Friday morning at the police quarters at the station, expecting to spend the weekend together since he was not on duty.
According to sources the couple got into a heated argument during which the woman rushed for a knife and attacked the man in bed.
She later escaped leaving the officer bleeding profusely and crying in distress for help. His colleagues responded and rushed him to hospital for treatment.
Police are currently looking for the woman in question.
