A news conference regarding the ongoing investigations into the sudden death of rapidly rising musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, formerly known as Mohbad, is planned to take place at the Lagos Command of the Nigerian Police Force.
According to Naija News Idowu Owohunwa, the commissioner of the Lagos State Police, will give a news conference at the state headquarters in Ikeja by three o’clock in the afternoon. During this time, the public can expect to learn the latest developments in the investigation into Mohbad’s death.
The Lagos State Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the scheduled news conference to Punch over the phone on Thursday.
The CP will speak to the media tomorrow at 3 p.m. Bring all of your inquiries, and he will respond. I’m unable to speak until then,” Hundeyin remarked.
On September 12, 2023, Mohbad passed away unexpectedly and in questionable circumstances.
His passing sparked a variety of responses, including claims that Naira Marley and Sam Larry were both involved in his demise.
Why Sam Larry and Naira Marley Were Taken to Court
Prior to this, the Lagos State Police Command acquired a remand warrant to keep music promoter Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, and singer Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, in custody for longer than the 48-hour constitutional limit.
This was announced on Wednesday by Benjamin Hundeyin, the Command’s spokesman.
According to Hundeyin, the order was issued as part of an ongoing inquiry into the passing of the late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
However, the police spokesperson for Lagos Command rejected media reports that Sam Larry and Naira Marley had appeared in court on Wednesday.
