Authorities of a foremost citadel of learning in Ibadan (Bodija International School), Oyo State have accused the Minister of Police Affairs, Mr. Jelili Adesiyan of trespass.
The school in a petition prepared by its solicitors Olajumoke Ojo & Co accused Mr. Adesiyan of landing his helicopter on its playground without without approval.
The school authorities noted that the illegal landing of the helicopter destroyed some of its property and therefore reminded him it was a private institution and not a public owned school.
“It has been brought to our notice that your helicopter landed on the school grounds without the knowledge and consent of the school authorities.
“We hereby remind you sir, that ours is a private organization and landing the helicopter on our premises without permission constitutes trespass,” part of the petition to the State Governor read.
Furthmore, the petition read your action “caused considerable damage to underlying drainage pipes in the School Sports Arena currently undergoing major construction works.”
“We, hereby, request that this should not be repeated. As you can imagine, this action, if repeated, could disrupt educational activities and pose considerable danger, if the school had been in session.”
