The wife of Ogun State governor, Olufunso Amosun, has begged the people of the state to re-elect her husband, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, for second term in office as a paid back gesture for his level of performance so far.

The governor’s wife who was addressing party supporters and loyalists at Sokori, Abeokuta, weekend, at the empowerment programme organised by a member of the state House of Assembly representing Abeokuta North, Mr. Olayiwola Ojodu.

She claimed that her husband’s second term in office would consolidate the current infrastructural development being executed in different parts of the state.

According to her , I am always happy when I am called upon to inaugurate projects like this. This is how development can get to the grass roots.

“Again, projects like this will complement what the governor is doing. He’s always on the move, working. If you believe he has performed well, you have to show this by voting him in for second term”, she said.

Mrs Amosun later told the party loyalists to emulate Ojodu, within the resources at their disposal, stressing that they did not have to the first ladies, governors or members of the House of Assembly, to empower their neighbours.

She added, “In our little corners, we can help the next person. To some people N10,000 will make a lot of difference in their lives. While to some others N1,000 will do the same.
