Residents of  Yamini along the border of Shendam with Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau State are said to be fleeing their homes in droves following rumours of attack from militants coming from Ibbi in Taraba.

The attackers are also said to be advancing to Karkashi and Timbal border villages.

They are afraid that the attackers could be remnants of the dreaded Boko Haram, fleeing from the ongoing onslaught against them in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe  states where the Federal Government had declared a state of emergency.
The residents are also said to be facing serious threat from some insurgents suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.

A resident told our correspondent on telephone on condition of anonymity on Monday that they are facing serious threat from some insurgents operating from Ibbi and Fulani herdsmen, who had been attacking and stealing their cows.

Executive Director, Stefanos Foundation, Mr. Mark Lipdo, told our correspondent that the organisation had been receiving reports of pockets of attacks by Fulani herdsmen on  Sunday  and  that women and children were fleeing their homes.
