*Due to the graphic nature of the pictures contented in this post, images will be removed within the next 24 hours, thanks for understanding)
A woman who lost her husband on Tuesday 17th September was forced to walk naked  Thursday 19th September  after she was caught sleeping with another man.
The incident occurred at Orokam, Obadigbo Local Government area of Benue State.
The woman is  the wife of a popular school proprietor in the area who was said to have died because he didn’t heed to the warning of the oracle which had already warned him of his wife’s promiscuous  nature.
Source said he died as a result of his wife’s adultery.
In order to appease the oracle the two adulterous persons had to walk the town naked to cleanse the land and she was sent back to her father’s house and banned from attending her husband’s funeral, hence the scene depicted in the pictures in this post.
According to the Orokam culture, there is an oracle called “ALEKWU” in the town which punishes married women who cheat on their husbands and also deters people from committing atrocities.
This oracle warns husbands of adultroeus women to perform certain rites for cleansing of himself & family or die.
They claim the proprietor died because he didn’t heed to the warning of the oracle so the cheating couple had to walk the town naked to cleanse the land and she was sent back to her father’s house and banned from attending her husband’s funeral.

Which one is the wickedness? The adultery or the repercussions in this culture? Or the foolhardiness of the perpetrators?

@Ishola… na my people. Adultery shouldn't be condoned in any sane society. the woman went far even when her deceased husband hasnt been buried.

@Ooja… if u were the deceased elder sister, what will u have done? the villagers were even lenient i must say. you shld know that we hold zero tolerance to adultery. to even imagine that the deed was done 2days afta the husband died is sooooo painful. its easier to judge from outside…
