The accident happened at about 2.30pm yesterday Tuesday December 8th. A rickety bus “LT 35” loaded with 50 pupils of Oke Ira primary school lost control and ran into a shop where a girl of about 4 years was standing, killing her Instantly.
The pupils of this school pays 300 Naira daily to be transported by the bus. The driver of the bus claimed his brake failed and the steering became stiff making it difficult to maneuver before it ran into the poor little girl. The girl was rushed to a hospital nearby where she was confirmed dead. None of the pupils in the bus died.
