The House of Representatives on Monday said that the current pricing template set for premium motor spirit otherwise known petrol by the Petroleum Products Price Regulatory Agency is “fraudulent.”
Members of the lower chamber insisted that petrol should not have cost Nigerians more than N70 per litre.
The development came after an ad hoc committee of the House on the Review of Pump Price of Petrol opened a public hearing at the National Assembly in Abuja.
The committee is chaired by a member from Imo State, Mr. Nnana Igbokwe.
Those who were grilled by the committee included PPPRA, Nigerian Ports Authority, Nigerian Customs Service officials and other industry players, including marketers.

Nice one. This is the kind of topic our reps supposed to be deliberating on. How i wish they could drag this to a fantastic conclusion. This suffering is too much.
