Popular singer Peter Okoye, known as Mr. P and one-half of the P-Square duo, has addressed accusations from his twin brother, Paul Okoye, aka Rudeboy, over alleged song theft.
Rudeboy recently claimed that Mr. P, along with former producer Vampire, had stolen his song ‘Winning,’ which he intended to release with his upcoming album. To his surprise, Mr. P released the song first with the same producer.
Responding to the allegations, Mr. P clarified that ‘Winning’ was co-written and composed by himself and Calypso60, making it impossible to steal a song he helped create. He urged his brother to let go of negativity and allow him to focus on his music.
In an Instagram post, Mr. P wrote, “A person can’t steal their own property! Thanks to @iam_vampire_official for clearing things up. For the record, ‘Winning’ was written and composed by @calypso60music and me, produced by @iam_vampire_official, with co-production by @goldswarm. They all deserve credit, and I appreciate them.”
He continued, “As I mentioned in my open letter three months ago, let me make my music in peace. Now that my new single ‘Winning’ is out, let me enjoy it without the negativity. Keep streaming ‘Winning’ on all platforms. Love y’all, peace.”
