Veteran Nigerian singer Peter Okoye has responded after a waitress in the United States called him out in his DMs for leaving what she described as a “small tip” during his visit to a restaurant.
According to reports, Peter Okoye spent around $1,000 on his meal but tipped only $60, which didn’t sit well with the waitress.
She later messaged him, accusing him of being stingy and claiming that such “small tips” are part of the reason people “dislike” him.
In reaction, the singer shared a screenshot of her message on his Instagram story and addressed the situation, expressing shock at the sense of entitlement.
Peter Okoye fired back, saying:
“Sometimes eh dis oyibos na them no get sense. Una dey craze for this Yankee I swear for my own money again.”
His comment stirred mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians backing him and criticizing the waitress’s behavior.
