Former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and APC chieftain, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has taken a swipe at the country’s leadership by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), insisting that change was needed.

Speaking to newsmen in Katsina yesterday when he paid condolence visit to Governor Shehu Shema over the death of his father, Ribadu said ruling PDP had failed in all ramifications and said that APC would ensure justice and fairness.

“PDP leadership is a total failure. It has failed to provide opportunity to people to serve to the best of their interest,” RIbadu said. “We are confident of recording success. We are making consultations and we are optimistic that APC will confront the ruling PDP. Consultation is on as we have visited some key governors. APC will defend the interest of all Nigerians and is open to all without differences. We intend to talk to everybody,” he added.

He urged members of the APC to welcome all those wishing to join the party noting that “if we are determined to provide the needed change, to make life more meaningful to Nigerians, to address these challenges of leadership that we find ourselves, then everybody must be patient and accommodating.”

He stressed that careful planning and consultation was necessary to consolidate the APC whose coming, he said, marked a new dawn in the nation’s politics.
