A Governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti state, Dayo Adeyeye has warned Governor, Kayode Fayemi to desist from acts that are capable of causing chaos in the state.
He alleged that in the last three days, agents of the Governor have been going about, destroying billboards and posters of political opponents especially in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
The governorship aspirant who gave this warning in a statement issued by the Director General of his campaign organisation, Mr. Bisi Komolafe, said the All Progressives Congress government in the state should not push Ekiti people to such a level that they would begin to react violently.
He said it was unfortunate that the agents of Governor Fayemi had continued to destroy their posters and billboards despite the pending suit filed against the Ekiti state Signage Agency and the Attorney-General in which N100 million has been demanded as general damages.
Adeyeye warned the governor to call his agents to order, saying that his movement does not want violence in Ekiti adding Fayemi and his thugs must be told in clear terms that he should not mistake their civility and humility for weakness.
