Edo State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has accused Governor Adams Oshiomhole, of plotting to defraud the state of N5 billion.
Oshiomhole will vacate office on Saturday.
PDP state chairman, Chief Orbih, told newsmen in Benin, that Oshiomhole has sent the sum as supplementary budget to the state House of Assembly for approval.
He said: “We have observed with displeasure the despicable financial actions of the governor.
They range from the approval of inflated contracts to proposed presentation of a supplementary budget of N5 billion that he wants to spend in less a week before he leaves”.
