Veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle has criticized singer Davido for his choice of outfit during a visit to the palace of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III. Davido was in Delta State to perform at the ‘Warri Again’ concert over the weekend.
This appearance comes a year after the former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, filed a ₦2.3 billion breach of contract lawsuit against Davido for failing to perform at the 19th edition of the event on October 6, 2023. However, it appears that the legal dispute between Pinnick and Davido has been privately resolved, as the singer took part in the 2024 edition of the concert.
Ahead of his performance, Davido accompanied Pinnick, singer Phyno, comedian AY Makun, and Cubana Chief Priest on a courtesy visit to the Olu of Warri.
In response to photos of the singer with the monarch, Patrick Doyle, a Delta State native, criticized Davido’s attire, deeming it “inappropriate” for such a royal visit.
