The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, recently paid a visit to Costa Rican President Laura Fernández during his spiritual outreach mission in the Central American nation. This significant meeting occurred as part of Pastor Adeboye’s participation in the National Crusade of Hope.
Pastor Adeboye shared details of the presidential visit via a social media post on Tuesday. He indicated that he was accompanied by his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, when they were warmly received at the presidency. He characterized the engagement as a vital opportunity to fortify relationships and engage in discussions centered on themes of faith, hope, peace, and the transformative potential for lives.
Reflecting on the encounter, Pastor Adeboye stated, “It was a great honour to visit the Presidency of Costa Rica alongside my beloved wife during the National Crusade of Hope.” He further emphasized that the Christian message transcends national boundaries, languages, and diverse cultures, reiterating the church’s unwavering commitment to disseminating the gospel across the globe. “The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not limited by borders, languages, or cultures. Our mission remains to take the message of salvation to every nation, trusting God to bring hope to individuals, families, and communities,” he affirmed.
During the visit, Pastor Adeboye also extended heartfelt prayers for President Fernández and the entire populace of Costa Rica. He expressed a profound hope that the nation would experience sustained peace, divine healing, and restoration. His prayer concluded with a fervent wish: “May the Lord bless President Laura Fernández and the people of Costa Rica, and may this nation continue to experience the goodness and peace of God.” He underscored his message with a scriptural quotation from Habakkuk 2:14: “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”
The presidential visit formed an integral part of Pastor Adeboye’s larger engagement in the National Crusade of Hope. This major evangelistic event took place at Costa Rica’s National Stadium in San José on October 17. The crusade, a collaborative effort between the RCCG and the Costa Rican Evangelical Alliance Federation, also featured performances by renowned Christian music artists Tercer Cielo and Averly Morillo. Photographs shared from the event showed Pastor Adeboye, his wife, their son Leke Adeboye, and other church officials.
Pastor Adeboye’s visit highlights the increasing global reach of religious leaders and their role in fostering inter-national dialogue and spiritual upliftment, promoting messages of hope and peace on an international stage.
