The Nigerian Ambassador to Cote D’ Ivoire, Mrs Ifeoma Akabogu has disclosed that about 63 Nigerians are serving various jail terms in the country.
She however said Nigerians residing in Cote D’ Ivoire are peaceful and law abiding.
The ambassador spoke on the sideline of the 44th Ordinary Summit of the ECOWAS Heads of State and Government in Yamoussoukro, Cote D’ Ivoire.
According to her, out of about 2 million Nigerians population in the country, only about 63 were serving jail terms in the country’s prisons.
She stressed that 80 per cent of the 2 million Nigerians in the country are from Ejigbo town in Osun State.
