Of 5000 police officers that were assessed for intelligence gathering, only 266 qualified for the job, Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Force Intelligence Bureau Solomon Arase has said.
Arase spoke in Benin City yesterday [May 2] at the inauguration of Zone ‘5’ Intelligence Bureau Ultra modern office complex built by W/ASP Patience Omokaro and her men through community assistance.
According to the AIG, ‘not every police officer can be an intelligent officer. After we carried out assessment test on the officers on ground, we discovered that a lot of them have to go”.
“Intelligence is knowledge-based. If you don’t have the knowledge, you can’t be an intelligent officer”, he added.
