Head of the Technical Review Panel, Engr. Funso Makanjuola, ‎explained that the project if completed in time would place the Mimiko-led administration in an enviable pedestal. He added that the Ilaje Free Trade Zone would catalyse infrastructural development of Ugbo, Ilaje, the state and Nigeria at large.

Makanjuola said there would be adequate interactions between foreign and local contractors and the report of the panel will be implemented to the letter.

Governor Olusegun Mimiko expressed delight on the visit, stating that the Free Trade Zone would provide immense possibilities for infrastructural development.

He stated that the projected Deep Sea Mining Port in that axis would be the first in Nigeria that will add value to agriculture and solid minerals exploration.
