In the widely shared clip, Olamide is seen completely engrossed, his eyes fixed on a phone screen playing an episode of Isbae U’s popular show, “Curiosity Made Me Ask.” Waves of laughter visibly shook the music icon, who repeatedly covered his mouth in an attempt to stifle his mirth. The rare sight of one of Nigeria’s most influential rap figures so thoroughly entertained by the content immediately sent his fanbase into a frenzy.
Actress Sotayo Gaga, who was featured in the episode, was among the first to share the viral moment on her Instagram page on November 4, tagging both Isbae U and Olamide. Isbae U himself couldn’t contain his excitement, resharing the video on his Instagram Stories with a boastful caption, highlighting the impact of his show.
Sotayo Gaga’s Surprising Revelation
The episode that captivated Olamide featured Nollywood actress Sotayo Gaga in a lively discussion with Isbae U. Known for his signature sarcastic humor, Isbae U playfully interrogated Gaga about her acting career and social life, at one point lightheartedly labeling her a “gold digger.”
However, the conversation took an unexpected turn when Sotayo Gaga responded with a story that caught many off guard. She revealed that Isbae U’s late father, the respected actor Kamal Adebayo, affectionately known as Sir K, had once approached her. According to Gaga, Sir K had asked her to connect his son with Olamide, hoping it would help launch Isbae U’s music career. She recounted telling Sir K, whom she fondly referred to as “my G,” that Isbae U should prioritize completing his education first.
Isbae U’s Timely Plea
Seizing the opportune moment during the podcast, Isbae U playfully pressed Sotayo Gaga to fulfill his late father’s request now that he had indeed completed his studies. He even attempted to showcase some of his musical talents on the spot, further deepening the humorous and engaging back-and-forth between him and the actress.
