Nigerian rap icon Olamide has finally responded to ongoing rumours of a fallout with his former signee, Ahmed Ololade widely known as Asake reassuring fans that their bond remains unbroken.
In a recent conversation with BBC Africa, Olamide dismissed claims of tension surrounding Asake’s departure from YBNL, making it clear that there is absolutely no rift between them.
He explained that disagreements in business are normal, but personal relationships shouldn’t suffer because of them. Addressing his relationship with Asake, he stated:
“We are still family. That’s my brother for life. It’s always the same thing with me and every other people, business is never personal, and after business, life goes on.”
Olamide’s remarks have earned him praise across social media, with fans applauding his maturity and consistency. Many described him as someone who values loyalty over unnecessary industry drama.
Speculations about Asake’s exit grew stronger in 2024 after he unfollowed members of the YBNL crew and wiped his Instagram page, moves that fueled talk of a silent conflict.
But Olamide’s latest clarification once again highlights that, despite changing business paths, genuine friendships and brotherhood remain solid.
