Popular rapper Odumodublvck has spoken out regarding a viral incident involving him at the 17th edition of the Headies Awards.
During the event, where he took home two awards, a tense moment occurred on stage as Odumodublvck was asked to leave while delivering his acceptance speech—an exchange that quickly made waves online.
A widely circulated video captured the rapper refusing to exit the stage, sparking widespread reactions across social media.
Addressing the incident in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Odumodublvck explained that he was abruptly interrupted because he mentioned Jesus Christ during his speech. He implied that the situation might have played out differently had he referenced Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu instead.
Despite the incident, he clarified that he holds no resentment toward the Headies and reaffirmed his unwavering support for his faith and message about Jesus Christ.
His tweet reads,“I WAS TALKING ABOUT JESUS AND THEY TRIED TO SHUT ME DOWN. I AM HUNDRED PERCENT SURE THAT IF I WAS TALKING ABOUT HIS EXCELLENCY GOVERNOR BABAJIDE SANWO- OLU I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN CUT OFF.
I GENUINELY HAVE NO BAD BLOOD TOWARDS THE HEADIES,RATHER, I AM GRATEFUL THEY PUT MY MIC BACK ON TO SPREAD THE GOSPEL.
